The “children’s Hospice Balthasar” in Olpe has eight seats for terminally ill children as well as rooms for parents and siblings. The modern, spacious rooms are bright, comfortable and handicapped: children’s room with terrace, play and computer rooms with Internet access, Snoezelen room, therapy and movement bath, comfortable family apartments.

Around the clock, the children of experienced staff from the fields of nursing and education are maintained and supplied. How important the work is the helper who accompany during the often long diseases in the dying and grieving, sad figures show: more than 20,000 children, teens and young adults with life-limiting illnesses living in Germany. About 5,000 young people die every year of it. Last year, the Anton Diehl supported Federation also the children’s cancer aid, the society for sports promotion as well as regional associations and educational institutions.
